Q: Is there any difference between black transparent and white transparent?

If I want to make a gradient from black #F000to transparent #0000, is there a difference between using transparent black (#0000) and transparent white (#0FFF)? It doesn't matter? I am not talking about final result, which will be the same, but performance or best practices.

nope with an alpha of 0, the RGB channels don't really matter

I use black transparent but I can't see how it would affect performance

when the alpha is 0 then none of the channels are applied to anything

lol well I've never heard of the RGB channels affecting anything when alpha is 0 in digital editing or an optimization stand point. I think that guy just made something up if that's what he means

@CarlAnderson I looked into Realm and decided it wasn't as great as it is made out to be. Plus, they call their android sdk realm-java even though it can't be used outside of android. Which also makes it terrible if you want to pre-populate data.

I am in the process of switching to Realm myself

They have a learning curve that could be steep
