the first thing I do when a c# dev tells me that Java is redundant code: I compare a c# if/else and a java if/else which is 3 lines shorter alone with the construct of the if/else

You just click on the } and see the corresponding { highlighted in your IDE

or you use code folding on the left side next to the line numbers
