well I got fired for the first time of my life

appearantly I was too chaotic thus the routes became to many hours, in other words: I became too expensive

there is a huge job shortage in my country yet I get fired

its fucking embarassing

at my internship during studying I didnt get a job offered also because im too chaotic

I dk what to do, and afraid perhaps only jobs without too much responsibility are optional for me

@ballBreaker this is the weird part: two weeks ago I quit because I said I was afraid I would become too expensive and that made me feel like shit after such long day

but they kept me, they didnt want me to go and told me not to worry about "some extra hours" on a route since Im just a vacancy worker and they had worse (like damages, lost packages etc) so they consider it normal it can happen

none of this happened to me, all that happened to me was I took more time on routes

@ballBreaker how long does this ego dent last before I can shake it off?

sure, but the jobs I excelled in just had fewer responsibilities, like garbageman

if I call them I can work there immediatly but eventually I have to be a software dev again when the app is finished. How am I supposed to do that if Im already too chaotic to be a damn courier

that sounds like a weird situation though.. sounds like they knew you were going to leave.. but they needed you for a bit longer - so they strung you on / kept you around as long as was convenient for them. But then fired you knowing you'd maybe leave

but my current role/company is so relaxed and flexible. I've worked for really really structured companies in the past like "YOU MUST COME IN RIGHT at 9AM AND NO LATER!!!" but my one now is like "meh just arrive at some point and you're good"

I still feel like you just need to find hte right software company that will fit your chaoticness

there is an agency for autistic people in the IT sector. I guess they might have compassion or I dk what they can actually do

I went back in the psychriactic program a year ago but the waiting line was huge and they made me drive 150km on a weekday just to meet them at the psychiatric (is that the word) centre to tell me they want do a program with me including "creative painting" the bill for that session was 1200 euro. So I immediatly quit that

I am unemployed at the moment. Honestly, I am aiming to passive income through selling my apps. Probably childish, huh? I mean would work for a company only if they are flexible just like the one mention by @ballBreaker

@ballBreaker does Canada have ADA like protections?

I dk if I need flexibility, I need some compassion like someone can explain something 3 times but I need to "experience" the thing to understand why or what. Thats a moment my brain locks the info

@zaxunobi think of passive income like 20 euro a month and then your aim is more near. It can become more but then it increases the enthousiasm whereas counting on more can only be dissapointing

I am not saying you cant have success like 1000 a month but if that 1000 becomes the 20 you will lose all motivation for working on that stuff

whereas if you count on 20 and it becomes 50 your motivation will increase thus translate to maybe even more for the effort you are then willing to put in

and always keep in your mind that you may not get any earnings back: then you can still be satisfied by the fact you got your own app. A legacy

investment is always risky: with software you need electricity and internet which seems nothing but your time is the most valuable of that aspect

Yea, for now I am going with "legacy" :)
I guess I can always find a remote job if that doesn't work out

@zaxunobi im sort of in your position, Im living from sidejobs and working on my app. Its a nice adventure overall so in that way it pays out to me. I also dont have a family or any to support.

Today however I got unexpecticly fired from one of my sidejobs

which may not seem a biggy but I gave a 110% to it and there is an employers shortage. Yet they had let me go. It hurts

Yeah mwb is totally right with that, I think the best thing is to aim low and keep your expectations realistic
