A: Gitignore not working

The files/folder in your version control will not just delete themselves just because you added them to the .gitignore. They are already in the repository and you have to remove them. You can just do that with this: (Remember to commit everything you've changed before you do this.) git rm -rf ...

I just wish we could do more about it. I know there has to be a balance but hiring exclusively senior engineers across the board doesn't really give me the vibe that we care about it all that much.

@Ahmad That's a good point about cross functionality; it's easy to work on multiple things if one of them is part of the JS ecosystem, since that thing isn't functional at all, so you have m ore time to focus on actual work
