i'd have imagined that they bring qualified people

Pretty much everyone here just leaves their computers unlocked and walks away to the kitchen/restroom/talk to humans

I have little hope for privacy and not being hacked for these ventures

One should not assume malice when incompetence fits

so either malice or incompetence :D

Based on the state of the network, I'd lean more towards incompetence

I must code

But bugfixing is boring

Technically not a bug, it all works as it should

But the stuff it connects to changed their entire API

So now it doesn't do much
