I'm getting two different pickers... depending on the device

And both are Pie, 1 is the emulator and one is an Android One phone. So seems they should be consistent...

Something like this

Normally opens a picker... something like developer.android.com/images/providers/storage_picker.png

But on my Android One phone it's showing a 'bottom sheet' with only 'Downloads' icon

Like the sharing action almost

removing Intent.createChooser() seems to fix it...

Seems like a bug...

If 2 different intents could handle the Action, then the Chooser should have been shown

Nevermind. The 'bottom sheet' IS the chooser now in Pie

But there is only one option, and on the Emulator running Pie (and every other version of Android I've seen) it seems to Not show the chooser if only 1 option is available and instead just use that

my guess is the options available to the emulator are different than what's configured on the device, perhaps by the OEM or carrier
