There's no sound, so you don't notice it unless you're active. And it's only a temporary notification in chat, so users not on chat don't get it at all

well, the intend was to write a worm software and to run in a computer network simulator (so infest a pc in the simulated network and analyze the spread). But I after I uploaded to that simulator (via bridged connection through terminal), I took a break. When I was back, I was checking the binaries (for sigs and entry codes). When I activated the worm, I forgot that I was in my main project file. So on the actual pc itself and not in that simulated pc.

(that network is just a VMware setup)

the realization came when other lab pc's were behaving oddly after a while.

and le me did not add a kill command entry in the worm software 😀

@geisterfurz007 each lab network is a separate one. So it has to be cut off from the school network, all pcs has to be cleaned up individually. That lab room was "out of office" for two days. I kept my mouth shut tho. Since then, they started to use a VM computer to write viruses and worms. I did not like that because of input latency.

When cloning a git repo with IntelliJ, and using that as my project, it recognizes all modules within that repo, except for one.

And it's always the same one.
