beta testing, by definition, should be done by someone other than the developer anyway. That doesn't obviate the developer's responsibility for testing, though. You should do some unit and integration testing.
google play needs to be a system app, and the tablet is one of those cheap basically no-name tablets, so there needs to be a way to root. Which is dangerous on tablets with no community support :\
