Is there any sane way to pass runtime variables to phpunit test runs?

Use case: I'm trying to test a git client and I need to have a way to get the git binary location

I am hoping there is some phpunit -c phpunit.xml.dist -vbinary /etc/git thing

I'll just let people edit the config

Hey I'm back with another question! I have a code that uses ajax to get the contents of a PHP page every X seconds until completed=="yes", and every time it gets the contents it echo's a <script>alert("checked");</script>, Well if in the php page I have it echo <script>alert("worked");completed="yes";</script>`. So, ideally, it would alert "checked" once, then it would also alert "worked" once. For some odd reason it's alerting "checked" once (as it should) but it's alerting "worked" twice

So that when 7.2 comes out, the tests don't change to 7.2 magically.

But at some point when 7.1 is stable surely you want to target the stable one at some point

I am running my php tests using phpdbg for coverage. So that would mean I have to conditionally change it for hhvm builds in the travis config. Neither do I know how hhvm works in terms of code coverage

Also, in the code you posted, $ftpConnect isn't set anywhere....so yeah, the error message saying it's null is likely to be correct.
