@AlexandreVaillancourt: No. The usual formation is: "Can I ask a question?", even though we've tried to push people toward just asking for years now...
@JerryCoffin I don't think any one person is going to move the needle on that one. It's been going since the IRC days
It's not even a technology thing. I have an acquaintance that was rather senior when he started using chats and he still does it. Not just "Hey, can we talk?" but always A: "Hey?" B: "Yeah, what's up?" A: "can we talk?"
