@rightfold Cool, I just plugged in my high power amplifier to control some electric modulators (minicircuits.com/WebStore/dashboard.html?model=ZHL-5W-1%2B). Mini-Circuits make a lot of fun stuff that lets you generate megahertz signals with relatively high power.

@JerryCoffin Well, its hypothetical, but I'm wondering if when you sign employment contracts that say start in X number of days it means employment or the contract, or both. On a related note, do contractors usually sign NDAs? I've been doing work for years without signing one, although this seems like an irregularity.

Yes. It has all the cores and all the RAM.

But the login screen is already sluggish. I thought that was only because of graphics stuff and wouldn't impact compile speeds, but apparently that's wrong. Or a coincidence.

Not using an ancient version of VirtualBox would probably fix it, but lol trying to have updates in a corporate setting.

On the plus side opening a save dialog under a debugger doesn't take half a minute like it does under Windows.

In my experience six hours is about the most you can reasonably get out of most people on an average basis

They will vary around that. Sometimes 20 sometimes 50 but generally ~30hrs of useful work most weeks.
