Just string round-tripping through Lua

And it works.

I don't even have to include any platform-specific crap: it seems like codecvt works when you're using utf8 as the roundtrip medium.

if 16-bit characters work, you probably have to do work to make surrogate pairs work, it's been a while though since I tried that on windows

c < 0x101000 && (c < 0xd800 || c >= 0xe000) <-- unicode ends at 0x101000 and it can't be a surrogate pair reserved value
