TL;DR shortened. There are a few running experiment theories based on GR (basically using energy-matter equivalence) by creating an extremely sensitive device which creates a strong electric field to try and detect a spacetime distortion of a laser going through the possible warp field (which is basically any device generating a spacetime distortion, no matter of the driving force).

I think that the principal thing about cancer is that it can't evolve over time (as a group). People getting cancer in 2100 will not have a tumour that evolved to resist treatments we use today.

it's simply a question of amassing enough treatments and enough data.

with infectious diseases you have to keep continually inventing new treatments as they evolve to fight back

and they can affect much larger groups of people

I thought about starting a DirectX 12 powered open source browser project called Ultron for Windows. But I'd be lazy to work on it. Maybe if I took Chrome V8 and some other boring boilerplate open source stuff to cover the "good enough" stuff.
