Many times it's justified (see @R.MartinhoFernandes's example about C++, for instance), but sometimes it isn't (the US are famous for having all-male groups of politicians discuss issues that only affect women). Shouldn't we talk about those?

The main point for me is that using braces (or whatever) on separate lines by default is that it makes the variance between "inhabited" and "uninhabited" lines too big.
I want my lines to be code lines, or not. Not something in between.
That said, I will deviate from this "rule" if the face of the code needs it for "quietness"
