@khajvah Sorting numbers is O(n*log n), which is less than O(n^2) - this means if the bound is O(n^2), you can do sorting pretty much for free (if you sort it Z times, where Z is independent of n).

Let's say you're running a game on a quad core CPU and that game has been optimized to use 2 cores. At a certain point in time the game needs to process tasks A, B, C, and D. The tasks would process something like this...

Core 1 - Task A then Task C
Core 2 - Task B then Task D
Core 3 - Idle(possibly doing something non-related)
Core 4 - Idle(possibly doing something non-related)
