@MooingDuck Because you then set the original HANDLE or GLid to the specified invalid/null value (0, INVALID_HANDLE_VALUE, etc.); the whole point is that it behaves like a std::unique_ptr, giving the same guarantees and working less wonkily with types that have value-semantics but are meant to be like pointers. Thus, the thing that gets std::move( /**/ )-ed needs to be "moved" in the sense that it preserves the "the old version of this is destructible because it's in the invalid / null state"
