@thecoshman well, depending on the details of the file formats, it could be possible (it isn't, but you need to know the formats to determine that) :)

@Ell There are unused bytes in both. The trouble is the headers are both required to start the file.

if the operating systems were written to have such compatibility in mind, it could be achieved, but they are not.

in PE you can put code, data, etc into unused bytes.

so in theory, you could create a boot loader of sorts that is able to pass this meta header and strip it away such that you have a native binary... but you would need this boot loader native for each platform
