We've had an abuser turn on the people commenting & editing their posts, kinda stalking. Not common, but twice since last September, that I recall. Wingy is just annoying.
We also had one which was watching our chat and writing messages as abusive answers. So we shouldn't give the spammer's attention and write "funny" comments under their posts.

@QPaysTaxes What do you mean "grep over multiple files"? In cmd you can recursively search every file in the current directory tree with findstr /s text *. In PowerShell it's dir -r | sls regex
@QPaysTaxes Yeah, findstr has a strange regex syntax, and it can't handle Unicode files at all. The PS method is more robust.
Is the file UTF-16 or Unicode? Findstr can't handle 16-bit characters at all.
@kayess A lot of people will freak out for a while. A lot of noise and ridiculous speculation on TV by politicians and pundits. Then everyone will wake up and go to work, eventually realizing that even if the exit continues full steam ahead, there's still two years before the actual exit occurs, and the process, like everything else in the EU will be plodding, measured, and fully planned before implemented.
@kayess Dunno. Technically I think it might be a different country from England, but maybe they just split it out because it's the biggest city and a huge population center.
@Seth I doubt it will, at least not long-term. There will be short-term instability while people figure out WTF just happened, but eventually trade agreements will be in place and everything will be fine.
If I had to take a guess, part of the conditions of remaining in the shared market will be more payments, more refugees, continued free labor movement and no buckling on any regulations

I don't think everything will be sunny and roses like the leave campaign wanted, but the stay campaign made it seem like the sky would fall and the earth would open up and swallow Britain if they left. I really don't think it will be that bad. Humans are pretty damn good at adapting.
And if Europe really decides to put the screws to UK in trade, then UK will just trade with China or the US or Russia or, well, anyone else in the world.
@Magisch There is always the risk of that. But if the people in power really intended to ignore the will of the people, it would have been much better to just fix the election, rather than weather a political shitstorm after a successful leave vote.
Its also possible that europa will just let britain bleed out until they come crying back trying to get back in, and then let them under new, much harsher conditions
@Magisch I think you greatly underestimate the effort involved in relocating an entire workforce. Sure the tables and chairs can be packed up easily enough, but you've either got to move your people or find new ones on the other side - not easy to do with knowledge workers.

You could rip out the testing tag I think, it's now just "duplicate" with the other tag added ?

Bank stocks have already fallen sharply with no tendency but further down. We're already close to triggering a wave of automated margin calls again and then the entire house of cards that is the international financial industry will fold once more
@JonClements I can see not much happening (best case) to "The UK breaks apart and england becomes a third world country and the world economy collapses once more" (worst case) on the horizon
Tbh if Europe's leaders are smart they'll let the UK bleed out until a political revolution and then dictate harsh conditions to them when they want back in
Political pressure on EU leaders is now such that the others want Britain to bleed (pay more, accept significantly more refugees, stricter regulations) for their transgressions. Its already being repeated by politicians all over europe, sadly
So this entire thing moves towards a confrontation
I guess, but how sure are you that it is promoting? He links there simply because he doesn't know SO rules and that's the site he wrote the answer (so it can only be affiliated somehow to them)
