@PetterFriberg 6 spam flags are enough to utterly destroy a post and slash a hundred rep from a user. This is not something we can do lightly, so we make sure to only inflict such punishment on literally worthless users (no meaningful contribution whatsoever)

@Magisch Thing is, it's very weird that we can decide as a room who gets a 100 rep penalty or not. It's not something that was planned by the system, and it's something we can and should definitely be held responsible for. That's why we have tools like Smokey to keep track publicly of what we do, and that's why we have strong policies to try and avoid committing mistakes.

I think that RO's should consider user discussion as valid when spam and abusive discussion are made (both for flagging as for avoid flagging), hence it is not the same as for closing (that are not user related).

Remember people: Users that had the habit to pick a single profile and go over their posts, flagging, voting, deleting, commenting have been suspended before. I don't want anyone from this room to be suspended or run the risk of being suspended. That is the sole reason the rule: vote on the post not on the user exist. And that is why I don't want to see user links here but only post links. Only exception is Smokeys allspam command where you still flag single posts.
