I want to implement compass which shows particular location(using lat,long). suppose my current locations is(45.45454,12.2555) and destination is (24.5888,24.56565) so compass will display my office is in east or west or north or south based on current location,i don't want to code for this featu...

you can define there you dependencies and they will been downloaded automatically etc.
you can create multiple apks at once with just one project.
you can customize the build process if you need to very easy.

Everytime I do "sync with gradle", why do it download stuff?

And most of the time, it fails to download.

Even if all libraries are already imported.

normal it just downloads stuff when you changed your build.gradle file

but what if i don't need all these features :P For ex. my project has no dependencies, i don't need multiple apks :P

It do even I change in code, and takes lot of time :(

Like I add a File depencency in module settings. It asks me to locate the path of jar.

@berserk normally you just reference your external dependcies in your gradle file. gradle will download then the requierd aar files which include a predexed jar and all images and xml files etc

to add the facebook SDK I just had to add one line, I did not need to download anything

@rekire But if the internet is kinda slow, it will slow down the process, right?

And what is the prob with importing jars or lib projects?

@berserk just initial if that files are in your local m2 repository they won't be downloaded again until you reference another version of that library

no I mean I use multiple references, but I don't need to work with jars e.g. here are some of mine:

the last two are my own libraries :D
