@Cit hypothesis: the hash change every time. What you trying to do is a replay attack and the fact the hash change every time mean you will not be able to replay a same request twice.

Some of the line of servers I was working on at the time didn't boot. IIRC they got to POST, but after that just shut down. Connected keyboard+monitor, it all worked fine.

if the thing was damaged , I mean the kvm switch it could 'think' the monitor is close and then not provide usb power to do the rest
