So... I must have never realized this, but in Javascript files if I write something like this:

$('#lookup-btn').click(function () {
searchForUSer();
});

This is actually registering the element (if there is one) called #lookup-btn to a event handler?

So if I start with a clear page, no elements on it.. and this javascript gets run on document.ready, nothing will happen. Then if I perform an AJAX request that inserts HTML into the page containing the '#lookup-btn' element. It will NOT be registered to any event handlers because that Javascript already ran on document.ready? I will need to…
