what is happening . I cloned my repo github.com/argentum47/angular-store-rails into another pc. then I did npm install grunt --save-dev and then grunt-serve, it shows

Well, usually it is good to avoid asynchronous file operations. Here is the short (i.e. no error handling) sync example:

The client first wanted to make some changes for a 3 year old php webapp. I made him an offer about the works, so far so good

then we did setup a project, and the thing got bigger and bigger... He said to me that he need this webapp in 8 weeks running and I should work fulltime on it

@Owl not agree based on hourlie, but work on hourlie. period, then when a new feature comes up in her dreams she'll at least have a sense it will take some time extra
thing is i wanna do some bigdata research from public userdata posted on a specific site, their ToC is boilerplate legalese with usual "automated means", wondering if not competing... could i scrape the most recent contents?
@EnglishMaster bigdata, blabla term... would it be possible to fit in "fair use" if scraping the whole public contents for private analysis purposes (with published summary, or even a digest that could pottentially help them) ?
@Owl Unfortunately a lot of it is experience... but the general idea is that you and your client sit down and work through the expectation and planning... if they don't want to do that, you don't want to work with them. Stay calm even though they might be doing crazy things, keep in mind that they don't realize that some of what they might asking for is ridiculous.
@Owl Having a process/checklist going into each client will help you refine you approach :). You want to be happy and know what you're getting yourself into.. and your client certainly wants to be happy and get the product they are expecting
no we had no contract.... and I had said to myself only few months before that I'll never work without contract ... lol thats the problem if you do not listen to yourself :)
@Owl lol i did something similar, said won't work for less than x/hr (hourlie or computed) and soon after a client poped in with a very interesting project that i accepted for less, and then became boring usual work, but my rate was still discounted :P
@Owl at my last 9-5 the boss tried to do that to me and i didn't like it, felt cheesy and unfair, but i guess that's what companies must do, pay less, profit more? :(
