I am just investigating nodejs if it's ok to combine it with my API server which I have in Java, basically I have all business logic implemented and working I am missing just the guy, I thought doing front-end using java is not really a natural way of doing it, so I thought I could use maybe node? well, in java this is not quite optimal for me because there are very specific patterns were there's plenty of overhead and boilerplate, even with Grails, I dont think that their approach would suit me either

In java I have now pretty much mature engine and I just miss GUI a lot, and I havent done anything yet with it, but I have everything exposed via REST API no issues

and there's database behind it as well - MongoDB with the new storage engine is now very nice
