@qwertynl it's kind of hard to explain. It's a little piece of metal. You drill a hole and then use a tool to kind of stuff the rivet in.

@RUJordan there is a smell, some flavors have more smell that others, but it doesn't linger too long. also, my vapor doesn't vanish very fast - it's composed mostly of vegetable glycerin and since I'm running at really high wattages, I get giant clouds :P

I'd say expect to put down 50-60 bucks for a kit and some juice to start you off.
