I assume the singularity will hit before my "time" therefore I can choose death or no death. I imagine after a few hundred years of life I will see death in a new light.

I have always seen religion as the earliest form of a judicial system: you kill, you goto hell. You steal, you goto hell. etc.

Now we have a real judicial system with tangible punishments for your crime. You steal; you goto jail. So religions purpose now has shifted to a physiological crutch against the feeling of mortality.

thumb was a lawn mower (don't ask, i was doing something stupid), through the bone but not fully off.
pinky was a knife, trying to cut a hard root, putting pressure on the top of the knife blade my pinky slipped under as the knife cut through it. fully off, little nubbin sitting on the floor.
index finger was again, through the bone but not fully off, this was while camping, drunk.. playing with a swiss army knife... thing was a lot sharper than I thought it could have been.

@OctavianDamiean know how you hold your fingers while chopping. curled in right. Well I was working in a kitchen and cutting celery fairly fast.. all four fingertips got caught under the blade.. lost the tips of all on my left hand. Right hand was similar but not all at once. Just cutting stuff and my finger slipping underneath. Problem is I love to cook but i'm lacking in focus.
