That's the main reason why I hesitate to dowvote : some people usually think they should compensate which gives points to a bad answer. When I'm really vicious or angry, I wait before downvoting.

Can someone help me please, basically, like in most text editors if you have snippets you can trigger them by using TAB, well im trying to achive this typeof effect in JS, basically at the moment it does this, "i have a text-area and when i hit TAB it then alerts the word just before the caret, BUT for example i write "hello john" then hit TAB it alerts "joh" its missing the last CHAR from each word, ill post my code now, any help if very appreciated
