@KirstyHarris That's simple. On a DOM ready event you're assigning the paragraph variable a selection of all div elements on the page.

So you don't have to query it again.

The jQuery tutorials would have you query everytime in the interest of making it clear and not complicating the examples

But it's better to save queried jQuery objects if you intend to use it later

That doesn't mean they don't hold the same value, simply that they are two separate objects

consider 10 things kept in a room

they wont morph , change , move etc unless untill you change em :P [ or some other force does that ]

JavaScript does the same thing with the HTML Code u write but here its known as DOM

I've got a DIV which has contentEditable=true so the user can edit it. The problem is that it doesn't look like a text field, so it may not be clear to the user that it can be edited. Is there a way that I can style the DIV so that it appears to the user like a text input field?
