Ive basically got the style sheet for resizing my browser... however its not calling it in the WP header... and im wondering how to amend it... so if there is any lovely people who would be able to assist i would be extremely happy :)
@AndyPerlitch Sometimes that's the best thing you can do. I worked on a gmaps bug last night for 8 hours and couldn't solve it. I woke up this morning and had it fixed in 20 minutes

@KirstyHarris go to view source in your browser, if you're using firefox or chrome you'll see media-queries.css as a clickable link. Click that link. If you don't see CSS then your path is wrong

You can use XMLHttpRequest in Javascript to fetch datas from an external URL. Here is a good resource : http://www.w3schools.com/ajax/default.asp (I usually don't recommend them, but the AJAX tutorial is really good).

Imagine you are a patron (customer) at a restaurant. You go to the restaurant and order spaghetti and meatballs from your waiter (you're visiting the web page and thus your web browser is sending an HTTP request to the server)
likewise. your `<link href="<?php bloginfo('template_url'); ?>/media-queries.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" media="screen" />` is simply rendering HTML
ok so anyway. PHP doesn't do anything with CSS or javascript. all it does is fetch data and process things and eventually serves content like HTML or XML or JSON or wahtever
well you're wondering why CSS isn't working when the CSS isn't even being loaded. Your first concern is getting the path to yoru CSS file correct. after that PHP becomes 150% irrelevant
