I was very impressed by the functional side, how it works, the modularity it offers etc. But I am worried that the process from dev to production is very complicated for a beginner like me. Like the grunt/gulp tasks you should use etc

I have used JS although I am still a beginner I would say. To me it comes across as an immensely unstructured mess in which you can do the same thing in 10 different ways, all equally unreadable
@TimCastelijns I usually never use a lib for something small I can develop or copy/past, only core libs with tons of Github stars and questions on SO and you usually make a layer between your code and that lib, so you can replace it later if it doesn't work out
