The best security I've ever seen, as far as authentication goes, has been either a) using SSH keys or b) using non-self-signed certificates to identify yourself.

I think they're letting fewer unskilled workers in, but more in areas where there are shortages for skilled work.

Not sure.

But they're redoing their permanent residence process in January for "express" entry. We'll see how "express" it really is if I don't get in with my current application.

They're mostly fairly minor UI things though so that's nice :D

Gonna spend some time with the iOS version now. That crashes at random, which is... less nice.

Haha Ahmad, the iOS version has more features and has taken less development time (we only have 2 iOS devs vs 2.5 Android and I spent 6 weeks working on Android before the current 2 arrived). Just they've never used CoreData before and are having issues around illegal access or something across threads? I'm not sure.

I mean you don't want a pic with 20mb in your db

that would be just insane

I've only seen base64 encoded favicons getting saved in dbs

and these are of course fairly small

these guys are just storing the raw image as a BLOB
