So yah...appcompat-v7:21.0.0 breaks my tests.
It's possible that Robotium doesn't yet support the new appcompat libraries.

yup...there's definitely something funky going on. 
compile 'com.android.support:appcompat-v7:20.+'
compile 'com.android.support:support-v4:20.+'
This works...but if I change to 21.0.0, many of my tests no longer pass.
anyone home? or am I just talking to myself today

Sorry can't help with the AppCompat issue, maka sure you Build/Clean and Sync and rebuild.

there's definitely some issue between appcompat and my testing suite and possibly with Robotium

The thing is I got opportunity to work on other technologies as full-time an year ago.
But based on my android experience I got part-time on Android.
Anyways I am gonna quit part-time as it's been too hectic to handle both

I think I have just screwed myself. I map a promise which returns a promise, which then has to map that promise... but its not happening
Long story short, I don't know how to chain async requests in java.
But the internet does, so thats nice
