@DaveRandom it shouldn't be a lot of work. the current backlog is already nicely separated. the crawler and the SE client are easily reusable. so all it basically takes is to replace the BacklogView in the controller with a TableDataGateway writing the stuff to the database instead of into some template. @crypticツ can then pull from the database.

@crypticツ then you'll learn it :) this is a pet project anyways so no one will fire you for messing up. see it as an opportunity. I mean seriously, I didn't even write tests for that thing, so zero-defects clearly wasn't a requirement and in fact the caching decorator is bugged. it just doesn't manifest due to the way I prime and stale the cache with the cronjob.
