On the other hand, look at activist orgs like "Amnesty International". They too function by facilitating citizens to call on politicians (abroad). However, they explicitely expect and require individual :effort: and initiative: you have to write a hand-written plea (which you may copy from an example) or you have to actively buy a postal stamp etc.

I figured that asking this question wasn't appropriate on SO so I came here. Ok so I purchased a C++ Primer and I have finished with the basics and I'm about to start STL. Even after being better than most of the books out there, it isn't perfect (so far). The authors aimed to teach their readers about the best practices and also tried to keep them away from the bad ones.
