yep, and I had to slow them down and be a little harsh and direct in the meetings so far
which is a logical thing to do, after all they are salesmen, but it doesn't feel right to do especially now during covid where people lose jobs I get literally spammed with job offers
but if I am not harsh or direct, I get signed under false circumstances
@Tim I wouldn't say I'm naive but I do feel priviledged in this sector and therefor unable to be an asshole to them, however I am direct and don't put away my opinions on the matter
However I am interested what Thales self has to say and having such meetings is good to get clear what I want and how such company's act or how their workflow looks like
So I am having the meeting tomorrow nevertheless, it won't be a complete waste of time for me , hence maybe they come with an offer that pushes me over the edge
@ballBreaker i've boycotted tiktok, refused to install it. More due to the privacy/security concerns but from what i've seen the content is beyond horrible
to be fair we have them but we don't use them. Most people don't call in sick often. Like twice per year maybe. I just checked and last time I called in sick was 3 march 2020, just one day

pension is not enforced here but if your company doesn't have a pension plan you're kind fucking yourself. Often there is split investment from employer/employee. Like 3% of salary is deducted for the pension, and employer matches that so you get 6%. Just an example
it's not about investing money, it's a substitute income for when you're old. Most people will not be able to save on their own (cause they spend it all)
@Tim At least in the US, a small percent of your income automatically goes into your 401k tax free (you choose how much iirc). You have control over the account (investments) but if you take money out before you retire you have to pay a penalty.
