What i'm trying to do is I have created four activities ,two of my activities have working code so I have copied those code to other remaining activities and changed their references in the code as applicable .

but the strange part is its not working even though first two activities (through intent) are working

there is no listView in a FamilyActivity

@IvanMilisavljevic there are separate layout files for each activity as well as main activity , in colors activity layout there is no list view but its working ,in numbers activity there is a listView layout and its also working ,I dont get why its not working on familyactivity which doesn't have a list view

as soon as i click familyactivity the app crashes ,but it works for colors activity ,I'm not getting if a lyout file works well with one activity then why its not working with another activity ,then there must be some other reason

So finally I was capable of finding the exact cause of the error , it actually mean for list id which was missing

but still it is strange that a code without id is working for some activity but not acting for another activity , Android studio must act in a standard way ? isn't it ?
