@ColdFusion nope, probably some days for the pipe. Our pipe infrastructure is pretty redundant so all they need to do is to shut done the broken pipe in/out joints around the broken area and opening the stream again to flow "around" the problem. They managed to do that in around 45 minutes

just tired of the endless pile of work, never having any time look back and improve existing code, always working towards the next deadline

I was supposed to go on holiday in april, but canceled it due to corona

we started this thing called "cleanup day" to have a monthly day of cleaning up code etc. However we agreed on our retro that we should plan things differently for improving past code (haven't come up with the right formula yet)

I'm often asking for clean up time and warning of technical debt, but seems like nobody cares

I suggested on our retro that we use this day to list everything that needs to be revisited on all the projects we own and find a way to plan for this in parallel of the new projects, the team seemed ok with it, so 🤞

yeah I usually create tasks with things that need fixing/refactoring

but the list is growing and these tasks are not worked on

I just really need time off, but I don't feel that I can leave my junior alone on the project

why not onboard a mid-level or a senior engineer as your backup?

it's not a straightforward project, onboarding takes a long time
