you can continue to use the xml layouts. i heard from chet hasse during a recent meetup that you can use some part of it in your app. Not sure if its still in beta

i have not used it. but they recommend you learn the basics.

its the same with flutter and not many apps by google are in flutter but they have plans

some people saying that partial implementation will not use it's full capability

you cannot use it in all cases so i don't see the point of using it in full right now atleast although they are still improving. so definitely a look into it now will help but need not use it in production just yet

and if you need more info i can talk to a dev advocate at google. he is the host of android meetup where i live so he can give more insight on this.
