Sure, but I'll cross that bridge when I get there - I have some thoughts on detecting propaganda and brigading, but I don't anticipate it being an issue for a while
This doesn't real scale to real world happenings, since you can't easily scrap real time events
It works great for stuff like crypto, and other largely online communities
So stuff like gaming, crypto, sneaker/fashion stuff etc.
At 20-22, you're bright and shiny out of school, ready to conquer the world. Then you come to my age, and you're just jaded and cynical. (That age being 24)
I've seen so much people go through burn-out in dev, that I took the opposite direction: "I can do a very interesting and fulfilling job, but I won't let myself be exploited even one more day. I aim to live outside of my work hours"
If a side project brings in even $500 a month, you're already earning more than almost any fixed term deposit or low risk saving vehicle holding ~40k or so, which is usually the most one would save on a high tech salary
That, plus compound interest, plus betting on enough things that at least a few ought to take off should turn your life into a fairly low risk investment
The hard part is setting up enough of these things to be largely autonomous and profitable
Joke aside, that's really great to have such goals. But there is so many people going into burnout in our field... Maintaining that state for a few years isn't something I'd try
I think most of the network interest comes from all the extra bit of info in the long answers. If I wanted to read 1 liners, I'd go to the doc/FAQ (if they had the answer to your actual problem, which is never the case)
I think yield is a pretty good concept (for those who don't know: return exits a function with something), whether yield returns a generator without exiting the function (say on a loop) on which the client loops afterwards
