But yeah I only really get hungry at strange times when I work out and don't have the protein powder right after... I guess my body is expecting more calories/energy and since protein is slow release energy, late at night I'll get a spike of hunger because my normal meal didn't compensate for the extra energy expendature

and I don't really want to eat another meal right before going to bed, so at the least it helps with that even if it doesn't do anything muscle-repair wise (which it should, allegedly)

I might do a steroid round when I'm like 45 but outside of that.. never

I would have to do more research on it, but I saw some studies ~5 years back on the benefits of doing a round of steroids in middle-age as a man

But outside that, whey protein is the only supplement (for the gym) I actually would do

@MwBakker yeah my mom is a nurse in the (I can't remember the name, but the section of the hospital that does the blood transfusions for peopel with failed kidneys), and she's seen some 20-30 year old men in there who killed their kidneys from whey protein

But they were having upwards of 8-10 scoops a day for some reason

I don't want to sound like an anti-social person. For so long I believed that I was an introvert but all I had was social anxiety due to past experiences when I was a kid. When I go through an awkward situation, I tend to think about it constantly and making up the worst possible outcomes(that never happened)

Yeah, the only two benefits of smoking were: excuses to get outside (and more breaks at work), and meeting other smokers

@ballBreaker that actually brings an interesting point, which is the how privileged are smokers in the workplace, because of the connections they make in their breaks, the tips / new information etc.. smokers are usually "a club"

I had read an article about how many employees complained that they had to force themselves to become social smokers just to be part of these meetings and benefit from the bonds that get created
