i have followed the docs. But i have no idea why it breaks. says cannot create the dependency due to error in app module

only difference is i have named params as shown in the gist.

If I have a string in XML that I use for formatting like Hello, %s but I want to reference it in XML, is there a way to predefine what replaces the %s or do I have to do that programatically?

In a fragment, onActivityResult can be called before onResume() If the fragment was replaced, so I can't manipulate the view there. What would you do to work around this? In onActivityResult should I store the information and then read it in onResume? Or should I just avoid using a replace fragment transaction and use add instead lol

I've been reading up on the difference between add and replace though and honestly I think I can just use add? The only benefit of replace is that you get the lifecycle effects of it, too.

reinflating UI is more painful than "store the information and then read it in onResume "

well those go together. If I just use add, I don't have to worry about this onResume thing because onResume is never actually called

because the fragment was never removed, there was only a new one on top

I'm working on this concept of doing something like startFragmentForResult() and how you handle the result can be slightly different depending on whether the fragment was added to the container or replaced.

at a time when we were moving away from fragments came android navigation components where every single screen is a fragment.

its so much confusing the navigation, my life was simpler without navigation architecture components except you faced difficulties with deep linking

Matlab has normalized the practice of storing array indices as floats starting at 1.0, which now that I am used to it makes me think why bathe or brush my teeth? Why not start doing meth? Why bother at all?

A ViewPager has 3 fragments with some EditText fields when fragment 1 is swiped and when fragment 2 appears all the text field data has to be stored in a POJO or in a HashMap ? As per th doc,

"The fragment of each page the user visits will be kept in memory, though its view hierarchy may be destroyed when not visible"

So without the View how do I collect each fields text entered by the user ?
