yah, there's a pretty significant delay on the video stream. I think I get chat messages instantly, but when I respond it doesn't get streamed until a few minutes later

Part of that is because of my bad network connection, and perhaps because of my weak CPU struggling to encode the video

but part of it is due to twitch delaying the stream anyway. I hope it will get better if I reach "affiliate" status. I need 50 followers for that, though.

and maybe I should restart my machine...

it's been running for 51 days straight

I was thinking about upgrading it several months ago, but I decided to hold off and hopefully build a whole new machine

cpu and ssd are highest priority

We do, LTE is actually absurdly expensive

But I got one put in my new laptop for when I'm travelling, and it turns out it doesn't have linux drivers

Well, it does, but only when the card is in USB mode. Lenovo limits it to PCIe mode

So I bought a new card that always runs in USB mode

I figured I'm going to be using this machine for a few years, and data is pretty cheap when I'm in other countries, so why not

oh...your laptop doesn't have linux drivers for USB mode?

It has the drivers, but the lenovo BIOS won't let my current card boot into USB mode

It forces it into PCIe mode, which has no linux drivers

I'm trying to get lenovo to give me back my $200 cause they said the card would work

So we'll see how that goes
