@NobodyNada maybe I'm tired, but the answer seems like fundamental info to know that perl appends new line, it that dupe would not have been on another site, I would have voted as duplicate

hence it's not like he typo failed that, he did not know that.

@PetterFriberg Perl doesn't append a newline, its Bash herestrings that do. The question is "Why does MIME encode the same string differently;" the answer is "it's not the same string,"

Someone else who's having a newline issue with bash herestrings is unlikely to be using base64; the question is not easily Googlable for future people with the same issue.

To send a cv-pls, if a simply put a "t" in the close reason, a "too broad" will be send? Should I enter - [title](url) - [user](url) time - or is it automatically filled if not specified?

@krlzlx No the wording you put in is the wording that comes through. See mine just above. I entered Request for Off-Site Resource (NATO) the rest is done automatically. That is of course if you're meaning the cv-pls link under the question.
