Hello Guys, I have been stucked in one situation picking up right modal. I have a requirement for connecting pinpad to the server and server will respond to the requests and give the proper response to the devices. The pinpad is connecting using TCP modal. I need to make an app in .net which takes care of client request and send appropriate response to the request.

I want to ask you that is TCP Client<->Server model is right approach to do that? Expecting huge amount of requests from the different pinpads.

I'm trying to stick an enumerable of objects into a database via Dapper. I need to add a couple fields to the model before I do this though, so I'm trying to do something like below. The problem is that, for reasons unknown, the anonymous object isn't being added to the DynamicParameters object. I can verify that x has those parameters if I set a breakpoint in the loop, but as soon as I exit the loop, they're gone.

If I inspect x after x.AddDynamicParams, it has a second template with AuditContact_ID, etc as I would expect.

But when I inspect elements of parameters on the sqlData = parameters line, they don't have those additional elements.

DynamicParameters is a lot like an ExpandoObject but with some additional support for iterating over certain keys when you pass it to Dapper.

Question: I have a data entry page, and on it users may enter values for dropdowns across the application. Does it make sense that I wouldn't want the user to delete an entry if they no longer want it used?

Only data-subowners will be allowed to change the values for their users. For instance, the Admissions Coordinator can change values that their portion of the app uses

@TomW By delete an entry, I mean removing a row from the table. My reasoning for not wanting to delete it is that there could be records in other tables that use that entry

For instance, if an event took place with a patient and the event report says "Patient Blocked". Recently, policies have been enacted that state the proper vocabulary should say "Patient Restrained". That sort of thing

I don't want 12 different hospitals calling me saying that this record needs to be changed. So I build this out so that they can change it themselves
