First I spend weeks arguing with PMs about their shitty features to unshittify them a bit, then I argue with the backend team to spec up some decent API contracts, I make a ton of frineds in the process, then I work on it for a month or two if I can, then they give me V2 before we release the first one, taht one does nothing like the first one and is essentially precisely what I said we should build from the beginning so I build it and then we put it on ice.
and most of the time clients just switch mind and think " what the fuck did i want in the first time? was i really serious about this whole tinder for cars thing?"
Thanks :) is there anyway how i can show specific preferences and hide others, depending on the selection of a ListPreference? I usually work with C# and not Java, there i would just do a binding, but i struggle a bit how to do it here.
haha thats nice captain. unfortunately in this project, im the client/PM/designer & web guy at the dev. i want to keep it really simple, the app just does background stuff & the settings needs just to be set once
Okay, so how did you do it? Everything in code? Coming from C# all of this stuff is done with xaml/bindings and so on, so i wonder that i should really write all of this in code? :D
nah not really :/ i hoped that it can be done with the preferences itself (theres a "visible" attribute & a "depends" attribute, but this can only be done with checkboxes :/

It works now. For anyone else struggling with Android/NDK/GCC/Eclipse, here's how I solved it:
Bury a dead cat at midnight when full moon
Restart the Android device emulator
Haven't verified if both steps are really necessary, and if not, which one is redundant.
