it's good to know what you're criticizing, and there's plenty of things about anime to criticize

the cookie cutter "art", the usual lack of production quality (especially on the audio), the intricate and unexplained plot points

I'm a die-hard anime fan but I really can't ever recommend Cowboy Bebop to anyone. It sucked, so, so, so hard. In my opinion, of course.

I got 5 minutes into the dubbed version of Wir Sind Die Nacht before switching to subs

There are a handful of anime with good dubs.

Attack on Titan was pretty good, from what i've seen of it

@NathanJones if that's the one with the giant mutants, the plot makes absolutely no sense and they keep revealing massive bits of magic to cover clear plot holes

Do they ever redraw for a dub? I've never seen that happen yet.

I was under the impression that they did; but maybe they're just good about picking words that match the orginal lip movements.

@ssube i saw like 10 episodes, so i can't say if it had consistent writing

I guess they pick words more than an animation is ever involved.

I've personally never really seen a really obvious instance where the mouths didn't match the words, but then I don't stare at characters mouths, I suppose.

(Though if I were watching the sub, it wouldn't matter how they moved their mouth because I'd just be staring at the text at the bottom)

@ssube I'm guessing it's a different series. AoT has no plot to speak of, you don't know anything after watching all of the episode series.
