I don't mind copying traceur.js for development purposes, but installing Node.js for a static site is a bit of overkill

I'm sure you don't need node to provide a source map, just serve the file normally and if the user wants to look at the source, the browser queries the obvious url

usually gzip compression/decompression should be handled by the server and browser, they're good a negotiating that depending on their abilities

(meaning they always choose gzip or nothing now)
