We are using it here at work. And I thought that to make back some of the money it cost me to develop it, we could convert it into software as a service and then make the money back.
Well, you have a database table. And lets say for a simple example it has a list of movies and genres. You could then partition the table based on the genres with a range (of one genre in this case) and then have that partition represented by a view. This way, you would never get the wrong genre when searching, and would never have to look at all the other genres.
