AFAIK You can't explicitly run code every time there is a HttpClient request

but if you changed it to a helper class and used the one instance of HttpClient you could solve that by running your code from your custom helper

I have previously maintained a legacy source code that comes from Taiwanese company.
It's written in Java. The HttpClient (can't remember the actual class name) was put into a helper class. It evolves into a God object to handle all things related to network.
