Hey guys. I'm trying to use entity framework from an SQL database hosted on a server. But I cannot for the life of me find out how to do that in google. Every single hit for "external SQL database" they talk about a local database on their own computer. Same goes for "remote SQL database server". Please can someone point me to the right direction because right now I dont even know how google what I want which is incredibly frustrating

I think you're trying to solve a problem that doesn't actually exist. The connection string should handle all of that for you.
